"Sour strawberries, tart raspberries, cranberry and pomegranate in a combination of light ethereal and with a touch of sweetness as well
Structurally a bit surprising with more structure than expected from the nose. Medium tannins - quite grippy, dusty mineral feel and a medium+ acidity bringing loads of freshness and chew.
Very ethereal and bright fruit profile with small forest strawberries, redcurrants and raspberries mixed with loads of stem spice - pepper and red grapefruit.
Very sappy and elegant palate with a mineral and stony core, delicate and bright fruit, well-dozed peppery spice and a very long finish resulting in an interesting wine with subtle finesse mixed with a more rugged and windswept character."

"The 2023 Tidao comes from vines in the oldest plot and lower in altitude (1,100 meters above sea level). It is planted with a field blend of a majority of Listán Negro (around 80%) and then a myriad of other varieties (Tintilla, Listán Prieto, white varieties...). As with all the single-vineyard wines here, it fermented with 100% full clusters with indigenous yeasts in open-top 500-liter barrels, where it matured for around 10 months. It has a fresh minty note reminiscent of red chilies. It's fruit-driven, with red berry fruit, flowers and an overall elegant profile, with some spiciness and smokiness, without rusticity. The effect of the volcanic soils seem to be milder here; the spices tend to grow and the oak gets more integrated (it's almost imperceptible now). 1,800 bottles were filled in August 2024." 95 points
