"The notes on this is from the second day of opening, as it felt a bit capped and with pronounced alcohol on the first day.
Powerful nose giving unripe pineapple, light honey and wax and a intense salinity and mineral vibe.
The palate is very pungent and a bit condensed in a good way. The mouthfeel is linear with a slightly oily texture.
Notes of unripe pineapple, hay, dried herbs and subtle ripe stone fruit, honey and a beautiful saline finish. It shows some signs of skincontact on the palate with peach and spicy ginger, but I do not feel any phenolic bite on the texture.
A hefty and bright acidity, which feel higher than I think it is, keeps the elevated alcohol mostly in tact, the wine has good intensity, nerve, energy and length, but feels a bit brute, edgy and youthful at the moment with more balance to be found if given some time.
Excellent and exciting wine nevertheless which I think would cellar nicely as well."

"The Albillo Real white from Cebreros has been renamed to 2023 El Bufón Albillo Real and comes from three different old vineyards in different zones of the village. It has a grayish color and a nose of ripe fruit, dry hay and straw, hints of pollen and ripe yellow fruit. It fermented in 300- and 500-liter barrels after two days of contact with the skins and matured in 700-liter clay tinaja for eight months. It's ripe at 14% alcohol but keeping good freshness and acidity and has a balanced palate with volume but without weight. It has a varietal profile but with more freshness than the norm. It should age nicely in bottle. 6,976 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2024." 93 points

Om Arrayan:
I 1999 etablerede den spanske iværksætter José María Entrecanales og hans kone María Marsans Arrayan vingården i La Verdosa, som er beliggende i Santa Cruz de Retamar, en lille landsby i provinsen Toledo (Castilla-La Mancha), syd for Madrid. I tråd med tidens tendenser valgte parret internationale druer og plantede 24 hektar Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah og Petit Verdot på godsets sandjord.

Da Entrecanales døde i 2009, overtog hans enke projektet og hyrede en entusiastisk ung kvindelig vinmager, Maite Sánchez, som har været en forkæmper for oprindelige sorter og søgen efter nye områder i regionen.
