"Dusty cherries, dried rose petal / potpourri, tar, fresh leather and a bit of dried fruit and raisins. Very much on point - classic and elegant on the nose.
Medium+ to high tannins and a medium acidity.
Gives a combination of dark fruits such a black cherries and plums and some brighter raspberries, leather, licorice, dried roses and sweet tobacco.
Served blind and I guessed Barolo 2012 as there were clear signs of raisining, but primarily on the nose, with a clear and fresh primary fruit. So holding up and maturing really nicely.
Balanced, classic and elegant. Drinks perfectly now."
